Cambridge Women's Bible Conference

We are planning to hold our conference this year on Saturday 26th February, 9.30am- 4.00pm at Eden Baptist Church.

An annual Bible conference for women in the East Anglia area.

Historically, for a number of years, we had seen an annual Bible conference for women in the East Anglia area taking place.  This had lapsed with various people moving on to new pastures. In the course of 2017 a group of women had a vision to see such a conference brought back, and it has now been running again for 2 years based at Eden Baptist Church and Christ Church near the centre of Cambridge. With the annual London Women’s Conference now having stopped, regional conferences such as these, seem to be meeting a real need, in locations that are often much easier to get to and that are more cost effective.

What are the aims of the conference?

To teach, equip and encourage women to live for Jesus

  • Bringing together Christian women from across the region
  • Women teaching women (Titus 2:3-5)
  • Large group expository teaching
  • Bible study and prayer
  • Seminars to extend and equip
  • Worshipping God together
Who organizes the conferences?

The Cambridge Women’s Bible Conference is organised by an interdenominational group of evangelical women representing a number of churches around Cambridge including Eden Baptist Church, St Andrew the Great, Christ Church Cambridge, Christ Church South Cambs, St Neots Evangelical Church, Christ Church Trumpington and St Matthews Cambridge. The Cambridge Women’s Bible Conference operates in partnership with the East Anglia Gospel Partnership.

What have the 2 recent conferences focused on?

In March 2019 our theme was Our Living Hope and the talks were based in 1 Peter 1 and our speaker was Carolyn Lacey.  After we postponed the 2020 conference due to Covid, we moved online in 2021 for ‘Holding on’ with Elinor Magowan teaching on faith, hope and encouragement from Hebrews 10.

What about this year?

We are excited about the 2022 conference ‘A Closer Walk’, which we plan to hold in person on Saturday 26th February 2022. Our speaker will be Linda Allcock who currently works alongside her husband in The Globe Church, Central London and lectures on the women’s ministry course at London Seminary.

Updates will be published on our facebook page and by email.  Sign up to our mailing list here.  We hope to see you there!
